Jodie Teuton of Kenworth of Louisiana Receives 2020 Kenworth Industry Impact Award

Jodie Teuton, Kenworth of Louisiana co-founder and vice president, was recently presented with the inaugural Kenworth Industry Impact Award at the annual Kenworth Dealer Meeting.

The award was created to honor outstanding leaders in the Kenworth dealer network who have had a significant impact in the broader trucking industry.

Teuton currently represents Kenworth dealers as American Truck Dealers (ATD) line representative. In 2018, she became the first woman to be elected chair of the ATD, which was founded in 1970. She served a two-year term in that key ATD position.

“It’s truly an honor to be the first recipient of Kenworth’s Industry Impact Award,” said Teuton. “It’s been a rewarding experience to serve in a leadership position with ATD and work with Kenworth customers over the years to create a customer experience that is industry-leading. I look forward to future opportunities to represent Kenworth in leadership roles.”

“I couldn’t think of a better person to receive our first Kenworth Industry Impact Award than Jodie,” said Laura Bloch, Kenworth assistant general manager for sales and marketing. “Her dedication to representing Kenworth with ATD as well as her work with Kenworth of Louisiana is something to be celebrated. Congratulations Jodie.”

Teuton and Scott Oliphant, her spouse and business partner, operate Kenworth of Louisiana and its Kenworth dealerships in Gray, Harahan, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Monroe, Port Allen, and Shreveport, Louisiana. Kenworth of Louisiana is headquartered in Gray.

In addition to receiving the Kenworth Industry Impact Award, Teuton was honored with the Influential Women in Trucking Award presented by the Women in Trucking Association (WIT) in 2020. The award recognizes women in the trucking industry who make or influence key decisions, have proven records of responsibility and serve as a role model to other women.
